The United Nations Populations Fund, hereafter referred as UNFPA has developed the next program cycle for (2023-2027). This program aims at accelerating efforts towards achieving the three transformative results: ending preventable maternal deaths; ending the unmet need for family planning; and ending gender-based violence and harmful practices across the humanitarian-development-peace continuum and focus gender equality and women’s empowerment to reach those who furthest left behind.

The country program will use multiple strategies to achieve these objectives, including advocacy and policy dialogue, knowledge management, capacity-building, strategic partnerships, and service delivery in humanitarian settings. This country program will be tailored around four interconnected outputs, aligned with the UNFPA Strategic Plan outputs: policy and accountability, quality of care and services; gender and social norms; and population change and data. Adolescents, youth and humanitarian issues will be mainstreamed across the four outputs.

For that, UNFPA is in the process of identifying potential non-governmental (NGOs) implementing partners for the implementation of the Country Program (2023-2027). All UNFPA partners must be registered in the United Nations Partner Portal (UNPP) prior to the commencement of a partnership. Those interested in participating in the process should proceed to UNPP (https://www.unpartnerportal.org/registration) and register by Wednesday, July 27, 2022 - Noting that current partners have already an account on UNPP, so they do not need to register. Then, to share their account name via email to: CQM-JO@unfpa.org.

Kindly be informed that in this registration process, you need to provide the following information:

  • Full legal name and address of applying institution
  • Mandate or mission statement of organization
  • Statement of organization’s expertise in the relevant area
  • Short description of the organization’s existing operations in the subject matter area, including how long the operations have been carried out.

Accordingly, UNFPA will undertake the competitive process by issuing the invitation for proposals (IFP) through the UNPP. The IFP will provide a more detailed description of the scope of work and other requirements.
