UNFPA has been leading for the past years the coordination of the planning for the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence Campaign as co-chair of the Gender-Based Violence Sub-Working Group (GBV SWG), along with UNHCR.

In 2020, and under the national theme “Eliminating all forms of Domestic Violence against women and girls”, UNFPA Jordan led the coordination of the 16 Days Taskforce that consists of 23 organizations members of the SGBV SWG including United Nations agencies, INGOs, NGOs and local women’s organizations, in organizing several activities adapting the campaigning to the COVID-19 situation and movement restrictions by using different online outreach methods.
